Hi everyone, sorry it’s been a while since I made a new post, busy busy ya know! Now that Labor day weekend has gone that means lots of the country is getting ready for fall and winter.
That means getting out your leather jackets and coats. This is a good time to take a look at them and see if any damage has been done to the leather while in storage.
Do you see any green gunk around the zippers or hardware? If so that might be a sign of leather mildew. If you wipe it off and the leather looks okay then your fine.
But if you see some damage to the leather or some of the green color stays on, you could have permanent damage to your leather jacket or coat. Check around seams and inside the jacket also.
Hopefully you stored it right, which is in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and without any plastic covering it. You should have cleaned it good before putting it away also.
Fall is a great time to do some bike riding. Often it’s a bit too hot in the summer, depending on where you live of course. But fall is just right for wearing a good leather jacket and taking a nice tour.
So I hope you get out there this fall and take in some scenery with your bike. Or just going out on hikes and walks if you don’t bike ride. If by chance your leather jacket or coat is showing wear maybe it’s time for a new one.
If so be sure to check out the new leather jackets and coats I’ve added this year. I’ll be adding more soon, I hope to stock Vance Leather brand soon.
They are a really high quality leather apparel brand, just like the others I have. Plus some great western style ones are on the way soon also. So get out there and enjoy the fall weather! 🙂
