Well everyone I’m in Vermont taking my vacation. At the last minute I decided not to bring my leather jacket, thinking it would be hot and I’d never use it. Boy was I wrong!

Having lived in Florida so long I sometimes forget just how nice a warm leather jacket is to keep you toasty. Now those thin fashion leather jackets don’t, those are cold.

But a quality leather jacket with a thinsulate liner inside really does a good job at keeping you warm. The leather makes a fantastic wind breaker, keeping out the wind.

Well everyone, it’s about time for a vacation for myself! I’m from Vermont, so every year once it gets summer I go up for a visit. I just can’t stand the cold up there in the winter, but summer is nice up there.

So I’ll be going up there in two weeks. This time I have a camcorder so I’ll take some nice videos of the woods and places up there. I’ll share them on here when I get back. You do want to see my vacation videos, right?

I’ll take my leather jacket as it still gets cool up there in the evenings. I’ll go up to Stowe and several other places where you can go far up the mountains and see beautiful views.

I’ll take my laptop so I’ll still be working and taking orders, so feel free to order anything while I’m on vacation please! It will be nice to go and see some place different for a bit.

My little leather site here ranks high in Google for many key words. In fact, if you type in “pigskin leather jacket” you will see I’m the first and second link that comes up, if you disregard the sponsor payed links. In fact now that I’m writing this post about it, I’ll really be up there for that word.

So, you would think that I would get lots of traffic coming in here, looking for pigskin leather jackets. I should be getting a lot of people asking me where my pigskin leather jackets are, right?

Also, I can see in my stats what key words are typed in to find me. So you would think that pigskin leather jacket or jackets would really be up there, right? Well you’d be wrong, amazingly enough.

I recently had an email from someone who wanted to know if a leather jacket I had was really tough, not a soft leather jacket. He seemed to indicate that if a leather jacket was soft to the touch it was not a tough leather jacket. So I thought I’d clear up that question in a post today.

How tough, or long lasting a leather jacket is depends on several things, but softness is not one of them. Leather that is soft and flexible to the touch has just been treated very well to get that way. The real test of how rugged a leather jacket is depends on the type of hide, the layer of the hide used and how thick the hide is.

A top grain leather is the layer of hide at the top, where the hair use to be. That layer is the strongest part of the hide. Leather hides are always split into several layers. The layers below the top grain is the split grain leather, which is a bit weaker than the top layer.

Down here in Florida biker weather is year round. But for much of the USA people put their leather motorcycle jackets, saddle bags and biker leather away for the winter. With spring coming up it’s a good time to get out that leather and get it ready.

It also cheers you up as you can think of riding again! If you’ve kept your leather jacket and leather items in a cool, aired out place and you cleaned it before putting it away chances are you don’t have to do a thing to it.

But,,,, if you threw it in a pile last fall, left it dirty thinking you’ll get around to cleaning it, or it’s been hanging over a heater, chances are you need to do a few things to it if you want it to last.

Sorry I’m not coming up with better leather post, I’ve just been real busy. This is another youtube video I made with my friend. She’s modeling a cute pink leather halter top. I can see I’ve got to do a lot of work getting my videos better!

I need to get closer, too much background in the videos. Also I want to take some outside, the light is much better out there and they would come out better. Plus the background would look better, unless I do them in a wal-mart parking lot!

But my friend is cute, so I’m sure you don’t mind looking at her in this video. I’ll try to post a really good article about leather soon. Meantime enjoy this ladies pink leather halter top youtube video.

My my have I been busy! Last weekend I finally got together with my friend and made about 6 videos with her modeling the leather apparel. I’m disappointed in how they came out. I thought I had enough light, but these had to be brightened up in the editor.

As a result they are washed out and don’t show the detail I wanted. I also still have not figured out how to add songs to the video. So they don’t have any sound, except for cars going by outside!

Man oh man have I been busy! I took on a website making project so I’ve been doing that. Anyway I wanted to let you know of something I’m working on here at Leather Supreme. My leather jackets and apparel are quality leather that I buy from a wholesaler, like all retailers do.

The pictures are stock from the dealer. That means everyone who sells this same leather has the same pictures. So I thought, why not make my own and be different? Then I thought, hell why not make videos of my leather!

See the cute girl in the picture up there? That’s my good friend,,,, lets call her leather babe! She’s going to start modeling my leather jackets and apparel. But not just pictures. I’m going to film her modeling the leather also.

I know I know, not MORE bike week stuff! Yes, but this is the last one for a while. I’ve posted a video of bikers from bike week. I’ve posted pictures of custom bikes from bike week.

This last and final bike week video is more of the custom bikes. I got a few other ones that are not in my picture gallery. Plus it’s nice to see the bikes all around as I walk around them.

I was going to make a slide show of them. But you can’t do these pictures justice by compressing them. The pictures are very good and high format so I wanted to use them as big as I could.

Hey everyone, I’ve been having a good time at bike week in Daytona beach 2010! I went up a few days ago and shot this short video of bikers on main st. It’s not much but it gives you a little idea of what was going on.

But I made an even better bike week video of the wet T shirt contest at Dirty Harry’s event! I’ve still got to edit that one but I’ll post it asap. Finally today, Sunday, I went back up and spent my time at the Daytona 500 speedway.

They have lots of booths there selling leather jackets, T shirts and everything else you can think of. They also had some amazing custom bikes that I took videos and pictures of. I need to edit those also.

Once that video is made it will be even better than the one above. Bike week this year was one of the coldest I have ever seen. There was not as much going on due to the cold weather, the beaches were empty for the most part.

But it’s always a fun time and interesting,,,, always interesting! Anyway watch my video above for a little sample of bike week 2010. I’ll have two or more that are better in a few days.
