It’s been a long time since I made a new post in here. But I wanted to let you all know about a great new leather jacket I just got in. I’ve started designing and buying my own leather apparel directly from quality leather manufactures.

So I now have my own brand, Leather Supreme. 🙂 This is the first one I have in stock, and it’s a beauty. It’s a mens retro brown buffalo hide cafe’ style motorcycle jacket. It’s modeled after the one I had in here before with a few improvements.

With airvents on the back and sleeves it lets your body breathe and works well. Side waist zippers give you a custom fit and the zippered and snap button cuffs look great.

It’s been a while since I added any new items, but with fall coming I wanted to get some new ones in. Today I added this great looking mens top grain, cafe racer style leather jacket.

Some people call this design a racer jacket, scooter jacket or cafe jacket. I guess it depends on where you live. I just know it’s a very popular style and one I have been looking to add for a long time.

It’s made of top grain cowhide leather. So you know it’s good quality. It’s not the thickest leather jacket I have, but it’s up there with the best. It has lots of nice extras too.

Like two zippered air vents on the front, two in the back and one on each sleeve. Then it has two zippered outside pockets and inside too. The warm liner zips out also.

A zipper on each side makes it snug fitting when you want, with zippered cuffs and snap buttons too. Plus a double shoulder cut to make it easy when riding your bike.

Add YKK zippers and you’ve got a sharp looking mens cafe leather jacket that’s top quality. Click the link or picture above and see more pictures and get one for yourself today! 🙂

Mens leather racer jacket with skull pattern design

Leather apparel is perhaps the oldest type of clothing known to the human race, and it’s never gone out of style. Today, leather is cooler than ever – or perhaps that should be “hotter than ever.” If you’re in the market for a great men’s leather jacket, check out Leather Supreme’s men’s black racer jacket.

The jacket falls just below the waist and is made of top-quality naked cowhide. It’s very well made, and it’s tough and durable. As well as being extremely functional, this jacket is also sharp, and it’s truly unique.

Along the breast of the jacket are skulls that are aflame with red and yellow, and the design also encompasses the upper arms. Each flaming skull sits atop a pair of crossed bones, and the skulls are reflective. On the back is a large single skull. All the skulls flash a grin of white teeth, too.

Leather jackets for the holiday shopping season

Top quality ladies leather fringe jacket

Ladies leather fringe jacket with studs

Well Halloween is over and that means soon the holiday season buying will start! Yes I know most don’t want to think about it but it seems like each year people start their Christmas shopping earlier.

With times tough for most this year it makes more sense to buy gifts that are practical. A warm leather jacket or coat is a great gift while being something they can use instead of sticking it on a shelf!

I have a mix of both leather motorcycle jackets as well as leather fashion jackets and coats. I will be adding new ones very soon for the holidays, yes I know I’ve said that before!

Fall, time for leather jackets and coats!

Fall, time to get out your leather jackets!

Hi everyone, sorry it’s been a while since I made a new post, busy busy ya know! Now that Labor day weekend has gone that means lots of the country is getting ready for fall and winter.

That means getting out your leather jackets and coats. This is a good time to take a look at them and see if any damage has been done to the leather while in storage.

Do you see any green gunk around the zippers or hardware? If so that might be a sign of leather mildew. If you wipe it off and the leather looks okay then your fine.

Leather jacket shipping to Canada added

Leather jacket shipping in Canada

Good news for my Canadian friends! I now have added shipping to Canada in my store. So now anyone in Canada can order my leather jackets. The USA and Canada are the only countries I currently ship to.

After some thought I made the shipping cost to Canada a flat fee for any order. All my items are leather jackets, so it cost about the same for each item. I’m charging $28.00 shipping to Canada per order.

That’s actually a bit less than what it actually cost me. That also is per order, no matter how many items you buy. So if you buy 5 leather jackets to Canada, it still cost only $28.00.

Shipping inside the USA is still free. I use U.S. Postal Global Express Mail (EMS) for all Canada orders. It’s pretty fast and is the most cost effective way to ship outside the USA.

So if you live in Canada and always wanted to buy one of my leather jackets, now you can! I’ll be adding more too, so check them out and find one you like,,, or two or three! 🙂

How a Women’s Leather jacket is different than men’s

Women's leather jacket

I’ve had a few women who liked a men’s leather jacket and wanted to know if they could get it in a women’s Leather jacket style. When I said I did not they asked if the men’s jacket would fit them.

The short answer is yes, but they would not fit good. When it comes to a women’s Leather jacket there are several different areas that are different than a mens. The two biggest differences are the arm length and torso.

You can have a man and woman stand side by side and be equal in height, but a jacket would not fit the same. Men have longer torso’s than a woman, as well as arms in general.

USA leather, finding leather jackets made in the USA

USA leather vest
Fox Creek Leather, from and made in the USA

Many bikers want to get a leather jacket that is made in the USA. Bikers in general seem to be a more patriotic bunch that want to buy USA leather products whenever they can. However like most things made today, where leather jackets are made and came from can be confusing.

The truth is most leather jackets and leather apparel in general is made outside the USA. Most are high quality, in fact the biggest names in leather wear get their leather outside the USA and also get it made somewhere else.

However maybe you don’t care if it’s quality or not, you just want a good quality USA leather jacket from and made in the USA. If so there are two things to keep in mind, where the actual leather comes from, and where it’s made.

Leather jacket thickness and toughness

Leather jacket thickness

I recently had an email from someone who wanted to know if a leather jacket I had was really tough, not a soft leather jacket. He seemed to indicate that if a leather jacket was soft to the touch it was not a tough leather jacket. So I thought I’d clear up that question in a post today.

How tough, or long lasting a leather jacket is depends on several things, but softness is not one of them. Leather that is soft and flexible to the touch has just been treated very well to get that way. The real test of how rugged a leather jacket is depends on the type of hide, the layer of the hide used and how thick the hide is.

A top grain leather is the layer of hide at the top, where the hair use to be. That layer is the strongest part of the hide. Leather hides are always split into several layers. The layers below the top grain is the split grain leather, which is a bit weaker than the top layer.

Spring cleaning your leather jacket and motorcycle leathers

Leather jacket spring cleaning

Down here in Florida biker weather is year round. But for much of the USA people put their leather motorcycle jackets, saddle bags and biker leather away for the winter. With spring coming up it’s a good time to get out that leather and get it ready.

It also cheers you up as you can think of riding again! If you’ve kept your leather jacket and leather items in a cool, aired out place and you cleaned it before putting it away chances are you don’t have to do a thing to it.

But,,,, if you threw it in a pile last fall, left it dirty thinking you’ll get around to cleaning it, or it’s been hanging over a heater, chances are you need to do a few things to it if you want it to last.

New leather jacket and apparel model

Leather jacket model

Man oh man have I been busy! I took on a website making project so I’ve been doing that. Anyway I wanted to let you know of something I’m working on here at Leather Supreme. My leather jackets and apparel are quality leather that I buy from a wholesaler, like all retailers do.

The pictures are stock from the dealer. That means everyone who sells this same leather has the same pictures. So I thought, why not make my own and be different? Then I thought, hell why not make videos of my leather!

See the cute girl in the picture up there? That’s my good friend,,,, lets call her leather babe! She’s going to start modeling my leather jackets and apparel. But not just pictures. I’m going to film her modeling the leather also.

Too much leather conditioner on your leather jacket causes mildew

Don't put too much conditioner on your leather jacket!

I got a question a week ago that I thought would make a good post, so here it is! Someone asked that their leather jacket always seems to get mildew on it. They said the jacket always seems to have oil on it, no matter how much they hang it up to dry. They wanted to know how to stop it from getting mildew.

Well, it sounds like the leather jacket has too much conditioner on it. Or, the type of conditioner on it is thick and heavy and not the right type to use. Leather conditioner is nothing more than oil that you rub into your leather item. Some of them have several different ingredients mixed together.

The whole point of leather conditioner is to make the leather soft and prevent it from cracking. It also acts to make it water resistant. The oil protects the leather fibers, replacing the natural oils that were there when the animal was alive. However leather also has to breath and let moisture out.
