Happy New Year’s from Leather Supreme!

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy New Year’s. It’s been an interesting year for me. The first part of the year I was living with two roommates. I started this site, and started working on some others I also have. Then in the fall I went up to Vermont, where I’m from. I stayed 2 months at my mom’s and took in the fall foliage.

Then about 2 months ago I moved back down here to Florida where it’s warm! I currently live about 8 miles from Walt Disney World. I can hear the fireworks go off each night as I sit at my desk writing my post. I live by myself now in a nice place. I’m making more and more off my websites each month, I picked a good time to do that.

Otherwise I might be unemployed with how the job cuts are going all over. I hope 2009 is better for me, I have big plans. My new Orlando vacation site should be my biggest and best website yet, time will tell. Things always pick back up, and tourist will start coming back to Disney. So my site will be ready when they do.

As for this site, I’ll keep working on adding more leather jackets, saddlebags and lots more for sale in here. I really underestimated how much time it takes to make those pages, that’s why I have so little for sale. But I’m working on it! I’ll keep telling all about how to care for, clean and pick out good leather jackets and items. Have a great New Year’s everyone!!! 🙂

I bet everyone is getting tired of all that leftover turkey and candy now huh! I wanted to just make a short quick post today, so I thought I’d show two youtube videos of a sexy model showing off a leather shirt and leather skirt. It’s hard for a lot of people to picture just how a leather shirt would look on them, same as a long leather skirt.


So these two youtube leather shirt and leather skirt videos shows just how good looking and form fitting they can be. The leather is a bit shiny in this one. Most leather shirts are not quite that shiny, more like how the leather skirt looks. Anyway it’s nice to see a chick in leather, so how can you go wrong to watch these, right? What to do when you get a leather jacket or coat for a gift

How to care for your new leather jacket gift

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I roasted a full chicken and really pigged out, lol. Many people will get a leather jacket or coat for Christmas. Many boyfriends and husbands will get their girlfriends or wife a nice winter leather coat or jacket. Many times this is the first leather coat they ever had. So, they are not sure what to do with it.

Should they clean it? Does it need waterproofing stuff on it? Does it need sealer? Well let me tell you the basics of what to do if you get a new leather coat for Christmas, or anytime as a gift. First, you want to inspect it and be sure nothing is wrong with it so you can return it if you have to. Take a look all over the outside of the leather coat.

See if there are any rips, holes, burns, flaking or even discoloring on the leather. Next inspect all the outside stitching on the leather jacket. Is there any threads cut, pulled out, nicked or worn? Now inspect any zippers on all the pockets, vents and so on. Zip them open and closed several times. New zippers may be a little stiff. If you’ve ever tried to buy a leather briefcase chances are you’ve asked those questions. I use to sell leather briefcases, and airbrushed monograms on them.

There are many kinds of leather briefcases. You have very simple ones with just a few compartments, to briefcases with many compartments, file holders, pen holders, pockets, laptop compartments and more. The two main types of leather briefcases are hard briefcases and soft briefcases. The hard leather briefcases normally have latches with combination locks, or key locks.

Today I’ll just talk about the soft leather briefcases. Most soft leather briefcases have a fold over top flap that locks in place by a snap, twist button, buckles or simple buttons. Also popular are the zippered leather briefcases with several zippered compartments. What style you get is really a matter of personal preference. Well I’ll tell you the most common way to repair a cut, rip or burn in anything leather. When you’ve had a leather jacket for a long time you really get attached to it.

Unlike other clothing you just throw away when it gets a tear in it, you really want to try to repair a leather jacket. Same goes for a leather couch, or motorcycle seat, maybe a leather vest, leather pants and so on. Now I’m sure you’ve seen those leather repair kits “as seen on TV” and so on. Back in Florida, ready to ride my Harley!

Well I just got back to Florida after spending 2 months in Vermont. I had a good time up there. The fall foliage was great, the colors were very nice and bright. My mom was very happy to have me up there that long. Working on your laptop sure has it’s rewards, you can go anywhere and still be at work! I’ll try to post some more pictures I took up there.

But the last few days were damn cold, we even had snow! I hate the cold, which is why I moved to Florida. So I flew back on the first of the month and have been busy getting everything back in order with my life. It’s perfect right now down here, not too hot and not too cold. Fall is actually the best time for anyone to take a vacation down here.

I look forward to getting my Harley out and going for a nice long cruise. No, that’s not mine in the picture, I’ll post one of mine soon, it looks the same as that one, a nice touring bike. Winter is great down here for wearing your leather motorcycle jacket and going for a ride. Summer is just a bit too hot for leather jackets down here.

So anyways I’ll try to post more now that I’m back. Yes, I have to fill up my store area with a lot more stuff, I guess I’m going to miss the Holiday rush, I just can’t get it all together in time. But next year I’ll have my leather store much bigger. So look for more post in here, and more items added to the store. It’s good to be back!
