Now that fall is here and the weather is cooler, you might be thinking about buying your wife or girlfriend a nice leather coat or jacket. Or your a woman and wants to get one for herself. But you might be confused with all the different styles and colors there are out there. So here’s a few tips for you to get a quality women’s leather jacket or coat.

Many think that a leather jacket will not keep you very warm. That’s because of so many fake leather and junk leather coats out there today. I had a girl here in Florida that got a great looking leather jacket from a well known brand. But even here in Florida in the winter she would freeze with that on! A quality, real leather coat or jacket with a liner is very, very warm.

So first make sure it’s REAL leather. Most coats and jackets today are fake leather, leather-like, synthetic leather (which is fake leather) and so on. A real leather jacket will have a tag on it stating it’s made from real leather. A QUALITY leather jacket or coat will say what kind of leather it is, and maybe even the thickness.

Well every once in a while I like to show a cool youtube video of leather. Sometimes it’s one about how they make leather, or how they carve designs in leather. Today I thought I’d just have some fun and show a youtube video of hot celebrity babes in all kinds of leather. Leather jackets, leather skirts, leather shirts and lots more.

In fact it’s really interesting to see all the different types and colors of leather apparel these sexy celebrities wear. Just about every major celebrity girl seems to be in here, from Angela Jolie to Britney Spears. I’ve never had a post about leather gloves before on here. The reason is,,, well,,, there are so damn many different types of leather gloves out there! So it’s hard to really say just what you should look for or what to get. Leather gloves can be made of just about any type of leather hide, plus have many other fabrics and synthetic material in them.

They can be lined or unlined, stiff or soft, tough like iron or delicate to scratches, any color of the rainbow, with or without leather fringes or hardware and on and on. So it can be very confusing if your trying to find a quality pair of leather gloves. One thing I can tell you is, DON’T get “patchwork” leather gloves.

Those are the type that has many small pieces of leather sewn together to make the finished product. They are junk and you should not get any type of leather item made from patchwork leather, be it a leather jacket, vest, wallet or gloves. Now, there are three basic types of leather gloves, with variations in each class. The first is full finger leather gloves like in the pictures above.

From time to time I start to get a little writers block about leather. There is only so much you can talk about as far as leather goes. I’ve pretty much covered all the ways of cleaning, conditioning and caring for leather. But today I happened to see a pretty leather bracelet and realized I have never talked about leather jewelry.

Now to some jewelry made from leather just does not sound right. Like, what can you make with leather that looks like jewelry? But actually there are many kinds of leather jewelry made. Often the leather is only part of the whole piece of jewelry, like a braided leather necklace with a silver pendant on the end.

Or in the case of leather bracelets the leather makes up the whole thing, or most of it. Cowhide and pigskin are the most common types of leather hides used to make leather jewelry. Almost all leather jewelry is made by making the leather into long thin strips, then braiding them together to make a nice looking pattern.

A leather bracelet or necklace can have many small strips of leather braided together, or just a few thick ones. It all depends on the leather artist. And they truly are artist; it takes a damn long time to learn how to braid leather into jewelry, I know I can’t! Some use different colors of leather strips to make a colorful piece.

Often they also add silver, gold, copper, nickel or stainless steel to the leather jewelry to really make it look nice and give it more function. The types of leather jewelry is only limited to your imagination. There are leather roses, leather picture frames, leather jewelry boxes and many other forms of leather jewelry.

So if you wanted to see just what kinds of leather jewelry there are out there, just google leather jewelry and you’ll find lots of them. Sometimes there are even leather jewelry shops in my sidebar ads I sell. If you love leather, than go all out and get a few leather necklaces, bracelets or any other leather jewelry and show off your love of leather!

Obama should have worn a leather coat

I just wanted to make a quick post today. Talking about the new president is a bit off topic, but hey, it’s a big deal so why not. Besides, it’s my site! The weather at the inaugural was a bit cold, so he had on a long coat of some type. It looked good, but I think a long leather coat or trench coat would have looked cool with him wearing it!

It would have really cut that wind that was blowing too. So Obama is our 44th president now, and the first ever black president. Actually he has a bit of a few races in him, biracial. Love him or hate him, he’s it for another 4 years. I myself like how he keeps a calm, steady demeanor about him. He does not seem to get rattled up too easy. I wanted to just make a short quick post today, so I thought I’d show two youtube videos of a sexy model showing off a leather shirt and leather skirt. It’s hard for a lot of people to picture just how a leather shirt would look on them, same as a long leather skirt.
